Lint, Belgium – 2025
A cross laminated timber (CLT) extension connecting the existing house to a new garden studio through a covered canopy. From the very first design sketches, the shared ambition of both client and architect was to create a sustainable and ecological addition that integrates naturally within the existing context.
In addition to the new extension, the existing house is being energetically upgraded. The roof will receive additional insulation and the existing windows will be replaced to meet current energy performance standards. The result is a coherent and future-oriented project where architecture, comfort, and sustainability come together.
